CCM and TaylorMade Golf are back at it again, this time with the release of an RBZ line featuring more golf-inspired technology. Part of that line is the RBZ 270 hockey stick, a stick designed for the heavy shooter’s looking for power behind every single shot.
The huge contributor to the RBZ 270’s speed comes from its Speed Pocket blade the same blade technology seen in the SpeedBurner. RBZ is still the only composite stick on the market that uses no internal foam or other dampeners; instead, a large, hollow pocket creates a ""trampoline effect"" within the Speed Pocket blade, resulting in one the hottest and liveliest blades on the market.
Just like its predecessors, the RBZ 270 and the rest of the line continues to have a constant flex profile in the shaft which gives you a Custom Kick Point that is determined by the placement of your lower hand. Typically, the kick point of a stick is predetermined by its construction for a specific type of release. The RBZ 270, however, adapts to your playing style. For the construction of the shaft, CCM uses a proprietary composite blend composed of both carbon fiber and fiber glass. The usage of more fiberglass in this stick sets it apart for the RBZ 290, with more material the weight is slightly increased but the durability factor also goes up as well.
One of the biggest upgrades to this price offering comes in the form of the PowerHosel Technology. An internal rib, PowerHosel Technology acts as reinforcement within the taper, providing better energy transfer by reducing any torque and increasing overall durability by stiffening up that tapered area.
If you are the type of player that likes to really load up for heavy and powerful shots, the RBZ 270 is a very solid stick to consider!
